Thanksgiving in August

Community outreach organizations are popping up across the United States, to provide local support for J1 staff who come to work in their towns. Wisconsin Dells participants enjoyed a “Thanksgiving in August” picnic, sponsored by the Wisconsin Dells Workforce J1 Consortium community outreach group. The Consortium is formed by area employers, local police force, and sponsors who have participants in the Dells. The students stuffed themselves full of turkey and tryptophanned out to a Christian hip-hop duo who performed at the park, while learning about the great tradition of reserving one day a year to be truly thankful for all that we have. CCI Greenheart is so thankful that our participants have the opportunity to spend their summers working in such a great place!
