Remember the Alamo!

September 7, 2012

By: Marcelle Benedicta, Employer Relations Specialist, Work and Travel program

CCI’s Work and Travel department was thrilled this summer to able to place its participants in San Antonio, Texas!  Here, participants from as far and wide as Russia, Albania, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan and Ghana have had the ability to taste a slice of the American experience during of their J1 Work & Travel Program.

They say that “everything is bigger in Texas” and these participants take advantage of that while living here for 3 -4 months. There are plenty of things to do in San Antonio, which is the most visited city in the state of Texas. Visitors enjoy an unusual urban sanctuary at the San Antonio River Walk, learn more about the Battle of the Alamo, ride rollercoasters and eat funnel cakes at the Six Flags amusement park, watch a sports game at the Alamodome, and get closer to nature at the San Antonio Zoo.

CCI thanks San Antonio and its employers for being a wonderful host to these international college students!
